The black and white stuff in bottles are sesame made in Toyama. Though people used to cultivate sesame a lot , Japanese sesame is rare thing now. They are all imported from China. It is because they can not sell Japanese sesame in competitive prices as it needs lots of labor to remove dusts.
I found it as I bought pears for a friend of mine at farmer’s direct store in Kureha hills. A girl in the store didn’t know Japanese sesame is so precious and impressed by my appreciation.

Toasting sesame is very easy. Just put it in a pan and toast for several minutes. What a nice smell! You will live longer eating such good sesames. We gonna be big sesame lovers.
What does assistant-programmer Wolf think of the roasted sesame seeds?
What is your local name for farmer’s markets? For example, in Malaysia it is ‘Night Market’.
Hi Grant, I love sesame seeds. I ate, no just licked some to swallow last night. Yum-yum. Well, frankly I love whatever smells of oil.
In Japan, people call the farmer’s markets ‘chokubai-jo’. It simply means ‘direct sales place’. No trick. ‘Night Market’ sounds nice which has beautiful association of a tropical image to me.
